Gord Jones

Gord Jones attended Ontario College of Art in the late 1950s and left during his fourth year to see the world.  He worked in graphic arts/printing until computers happened in the early 80s and no-one needed a graphic designer anymore.  After re-training, he spent the last 35 years as an Orthopaedic Technologist at St Mike's. 

Gord joined The Potter’s Studio in 1991 and left in 1993, rejoining in 2018.  Most of his potting is functional with occasional sculptural detours.  He spends his ‘free’ time (still works the occasional Clinic) riding his old Honda motorcycle, sailboat racing, curling in the winter and now potting again.  He is delighted to be back.
